Luxuriate in a haven where every details counts… Aislinn House
The Jim Thorpe Suite lives up to its name with its space, luxurious appointments, and view into the forest. The Jim Thorpe Suite is one of two rooms in Aislinn House, part of the Ford House Retreat in Bridgetown.
This luxurious accommodation is country luxury at its best. Sheoak floors reflect the 3.6m high ceilings, and the living sheoak trees beyond the window. The queen sized bed is dressed with a traditional original Amish quilt, and there is also an additional single bed in the room. There is TV, DVD and original artworks. The table and chairs in bay window overlook the formal garden and the forest of native trees. In the separate en-suite, step from the shower and wrap yourself in a warm fluffy towelling robe plucked from the heated towel rail.
Both rooms share a communal lounge with French doors that open out onto the river. Comfort in all seasons…. warmed by a roaring log fire in winter …. and a cool oasis in summer. Sheoak floors, a limited kitchen, a CD stereo system, board games, fresh flowers, and a wonderful library all add to the complete indulgence. Sink into comfortable sofas and drink in the panoramic views of the Blackwood River.
The rooms are filled with river light and the murmur of water. Large rooms with high ceilings have been tastefully decorated to ensure a feeling of space and tranquillity. When you wake, a delectable breakfast awaits in the boutique café in the garden…home made breads, juices, cereals, home-preserved fruit and jams, and bacon & eggs if you prefer.
Aislinn House, the jewel of the accommodation in south-west Western Australia is a perfect retreat for all… decadence with attention to detail.
